Such a beautiful sight.
Oh, just some friends. @lindsayboone @kirstensmethers @tylermatlage @t_eye_ler @oliviadarst @hadleyadelle @kaeliefredrick Love you all!
After several LONG weeks of intense pain that I was worried about getting through, I made it through to my treatment today. I’m thankful for my Uncle Brad who took me up; spending time with him was great. The doctor did a bilateral lumbar sympathetic block. We got good coverage, as usual, and my legs are much more normal tonight in color and in temperature. After the blocks I had an hour of a ketamine infusion with verced as sedation. Since we’ve done the higher dose of ketamine it has been infused over 90 minutes, but my doctor wanted to try it in 60 today. I tolerated it just fine, so that was nice. Once I woke up I could tell an immediate difference in pain and other symptoms. I have had no pain today except for where they stuck the needles in my back (and that’s only temporary) and some pain in my hips from where they are strained. However, they are even better than usual.
After sleeping a while today, I decided I felt like going to Bryce’s intramural basketball game tonight. I got to sit with my friends Chandy and Hayden (who were also watching their boyfriends), and it was good to just get out. I had spent so much time on the couch due to pain in the last couple of weeks that once I was more awake and in no pain, I wanted to go. Now, I am back home and in bed for a new week of school. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers today and always. If you don’t mind I would covet your prayers as I go back to school tomorrow; that I will catch up on what I missed quickly and not be too tired or sore from the treatment. I would also appreciate any prayers for the effects of the treatment to last. Thanks to everyone who is always asking and praying. God has blessed me with incredible people. Love you all.
